Please join us for our regular monthly meeting Tuesday, October 16th, at a new-to-us venue – the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Park North. Travis McLeod, president and owner of Silber and Associates, will discuss the fundamentals of fan selection and the impact that duct configurations have on fan performance. This is a great topic for young designers and engineers, and not a bad refresher for the more senior designers and engineers among us.
If the rain stops long enough, and maybe even if it doesn’t, we’re having our annual Alamo ASHRAE Skeet Shoot on Wednesday, October 24, at the San Antonio Gun Club. Many thanks to those of you who have signed up! If you haven’t registered but would like to, we have slots available. If you haven’t registered because shooting skeet isn’t your thing, you can still come out for a great time. We’ll have food, beer, sodas, music, and some great raffle prizes! Please remember that this is all for some great causes. Your financial support enables our chapter to offer scholarships to local mechanical engineering students and to contribute to ASHRAE research at the national level.
This is the inaugural year for Alamo's Women in ASHRAE committee. The mission of Women in ASHRAE (WiA) is to equip and empower women in the built environment industry to achieve their full potential.
